What am I missing?

OK, it gives you a pseudo black screen with a decorative frame around it. You can see your reflection if you are in bright light. For free - you can hit the off switch on your iPhone and get the same thing without the annoying frame taking up screen space. Really, you can barely see your reflection in either situation. Waste of money.
